2019 marks the centenary of the Prime’s business in Suffolk.
In 1919, the Prime family began business in Suffolk, when Frederick Prime started work as a blacksmith. The Prime family have been supporting local farmers and landowners ever since and the family business has evolved throughout the last century as technology has developed. In 1958, the Prime family began their first irrigation project under the leadership of Frederick Prime and over the last sixty years Frederick and his sons Glyn, Kit and Robin have established and grown the business, before Frederick retired in 19xx and his sons continued to build on their success.

Glyn and Kit Prime retired in 2018 and their younger brother Robin has continued to drive the business forward alongside fellow Directors Gary Scrupps and Allan Williams.
In 2018, Prime Irrigation Ltd united with Trenching Services, an international irrigation installation company focussed on sports pitch irrigation. With 40 years’ experience in the sector, Gary Scrupps and the team at Trenching Services bring additional knowledge and capacity to Prime Irrigation’s operations.
