Service Engineer

Prime Irrigation are looking for a Service Engineer to join our Service & Repair team in Suffolk. The successful candidate is expected to have good attention to detail and diagnostic abilities.

Duties:

  • Service, repair and maintenance of pumps, pipework, and valves associated with irrigation systems
  • Diagnosing pump/ electrical faults
  • Work will involve manual labour
  • Communicating with colleagues and customers
  • Providing excellent customer service
  • Other duties, as reasonably required

Essential skills and experience required:

  • Electrical or pump-based experience
  • Attention to detail
  • Problem solving
  • Time management and ability to work independently
  • Ability to work in a physically demanding role
  • A driver’s license is essential
  • A practical attitude and willingness to learn

Labourer (Spalding)

Prime Irrigation are looking for an Irrigation Labourer to join our golf course and sports pitch installation team based in Spalding, Lincolnshire. The successful applicant must be willing to work away from home during the week.

Duties:

  • Outdoor work involving manual handling of irrigation materials
  • Installing/ maintaining/ servicing of pumping plant pipes, valves & irrigation equipment
  • Working with plant, machinery and hand tools
  • Additional duties, as required

Skills and experience required:

  • Good communication and teamwork
  • Ability to follow instructions
  • Willingness to learn
  • A full, clean driver’s license preferred
  • Ability to work outside year round in a physically demanding role

Previous experience with agricultural or turf irrigation systems repairs would be advantageous, but not required as full training will be provided. Other skills that would be an advantage include: operating heavy machinery such as diggers, rollers, tractors etc.
